Meet Our Home Manager – Helen

Helen is a highly experienced and passionate care home manager with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding care. She has been part of Medina since January 2019 and has been managing care homes since March 2020. With a wealth of expertise in nursing, dementia care, and leadership, Helen has played a pivotal role in transforming services and ensuring residents receive the highest standard of support.

Academically, Helen holds a Diploma in Nursing, a BSc in Dementia Studies, and an MSc in Advanced Dementia Studies. Her strong academic background, combined with hands-on experience, gives her a deep understanding of the complexities of dementia care, clinical best practices, and person-centered approaches. She has also undertaken additional professional development courses in safeguarding, compliance, and leadership, ensuring she remains at the forefront of excellence in the care sector.

In June 2022, Helen was brought in to support Wilford View following a challenging CQC inspection. Taking on the responsibility of turning the home around while continuing to manage her existing nursing service, she successfully led Wilford View through a period of transformation. Her expertise in dementia care, leadership, and staff development played a crucial role in the home achieving an Outstanding CQC rating in January 2025.

Since June 2022, Helen has consistently managed two locations, demonstrating her ability to uphold exceptional standards across multiple services. In November 2024, she transitioned from managing her previous nursing service to taking on an exciting new challenge—continuing her leadership at Wilford View while launching Stapleford View Care Home, a brand-new, purpose-built care service. Her knowledge and passion have been instrumental in shaping Stapleford View into a welcoming, high-quality care home from the very beginning.

With her extensive qualifications, hands-on experience, and dedication to continuous improvement, Helen remains committed to ensuring Wilford View and Stapleford View are homes where residents feel safe, valued, and truly at home.

Deputy Home Manager

In 2024, we were delighted to welcome Tammason Carlyle to the Wilford View team as Deputy Home Manager. From the moment she joined, Tam has brought fresh ideas, boundless energy, and a deep sense of empathy that has made a real difference to both residents and staff alike. With a strong background in care, having worked as a Health Care Assistant, Senior Healthcare Assistant, and Care Coordinator in one of our sister homes, Tam has gained invaluable hands-on experience in providing person-centered care. We were thrilled to support her as she stepped into this leadership role—her passion and dedication make her a fantastic asset to our home, and we know that for Tam, the sky is the limit!

Tam’s commitment to professional development is just as impressive as her hands-on experience. She holds a degree in Psychology and is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence make her an inspiring addition to the Wilford View leadership team.

Supporting Excellence in Care

At Wilford View, our management team plays a crucial role in ensuring outstanding care and support for our residents and their families. Each of our care suites is overseen by a Care Coordinator, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of person-centered care. We are also supported by our Quality Assurance team, who focus on good governance, compliance, and ensuring a seamless transition for new residents and their loved ones.

Be sure to look out for Ruth, Katie, Rhiannon, Elizabeth, Emem and Tracey, who is also our Nursing Liaison. Their dedication and expertise ensure that Wilford View continues to be a place of warmth, safety, and excellence in care.
