Our Story

Wilford View opened its doors in 2019 with a vision to provide exceptional, person-centered care in a warm and welcoming environment. From the very beginning, we have been dedicated to creating a home where residents feel valued, safe, and truly at home. However, like any journey, ours has had its challenges.
In 2022, following a difficult period and a disappointing CQC report, a new chapter began. Helen, our dedicated manager, took the helm with a clear mission—to transform Wilford View into the outstanding home it was always meant to be. With unwavering commitment, she inspired our team, championing a culture of excellence, compassion, and continuous improvement. Together, we placed resident well-being at the heart of everything we do, ensuring every individual’s needs, interests, and happiness were prioritised.
Through dedication, teamwork, and a shared passion for providing outstanding care, we turned things around. In January 2025, our efforts were recognized when we proudly achieved an Outstanding CQC rating. This milestone is not just an achievement but a reflection of the love, respect, and dedication that define life at Wilford View. Our story is one of resilience, care, and an unbreakable commitment to enriching the lives of those who call Wilford View home.
Our Approach

At Wilford View, our approach to care is built on a simple yet powerful philosophy—every resident deserves to live with dignity, joy, and purpose. We believe that exceptional care goes beyond meeting physical needs; it’s about fostering meaningful connections, promoting independence, and creating a true sense of home.
Central to our approach is a deep commitment to resident well-being. We take the time to understand each individual—their history, interests, and aspirations—so we can tailor our support to enhance their quality of life. Whether it’s engaging activities, nutritious home-cooked meals, or simply a warm conversation, we ensure that every moment matters.
Our dedicated team is at the heart of everything we do. Through continuous training, compassionate leadership, and a shared passion for excellence, we empower our staff to deliver care that is not only professional but also deeply personal. This commitment has helped us create an environment where residents thrive, families feel reassured, and every day is filled with warmth, laughter, and purpose.
"The management team was exceptional at treating people with kindness, empathy and compassion and in how they respected people's privacy and dignity. Staff always treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect. The provider ethos stated: At Wilford View, we genuinely care about the little things. Our staff team are committed to putting our residents first with everything we do to ensure quality care is given as well as maintaining their dignity. We saw this was embedded throughout the service and evident during our inspection" (CQC, 2025)
Our Suites

Wilford View has been thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable, supportive, and enriching environment for all our residents. Our home is divided into three distinct suites—each tailored to meet different levels of care needs while maintaining a strong sense of community, independence, and well-being.
Castle Suite (Ground Floor)
Located on the ground floor, Castle Suite is designed for residents with more residential care needs and little to no cognitive impairment. Here, residents enjoy a relaxed and homely atmosphere, with personalised care that supports their independence. The spacious communal lounge and dining area provide a welcoming space for socialising and activities, while the quiet lounge offers a peaceful retreat. Breakaway seating areas along the corridors encourage moments of rest and conversation, ensuring a warm and inviting setting for all.
Trent Suite (First Floor)
Trent Suite, situated on the first floor, specialises in caring for residents with moderate to advanced dementia. Our compassionate team provides expert support in a safe yet stimulating environment, designed to promote comfort and familiarity. The communal spaces encourage engagement, from group activities in the lounge to shared meals in the dining area. The quiet lounge offers a soothing space for relaxation, while seating areas along the corridors provide gentle encouragement for movement and interaction.
Robin Hood Suite (Second Floor)
On the second floor, Robin Hood Suite offers a flexible and supportive setting for residents whose needs fall between those of our other two suites. This suite is ideal for individuals who require varying levels of assistance, ensuring they receive the right balance of support and independence. Residents can enjoy the lively communal areas, unwind in the peaceful quiet lounge, or take advantage of the thoughtfully placed seating areas for moments of rest and reflection.
Each suite at Wilford View is designed to feel like home, with a focus on comfort, safety, and personal well-being. No matter which floor a resident calls home, they are surrounded by compassionate care, engaging activities, and a community that values every individual.
